Wedding
Philipp is a childhood friend of mine who was getting married back in June. He and his amazing wife Ruth had decided they didn't want a videographer for their wedding. I volunteered to shoot it for them as their wedding present and they were overjoyed when they finally saw it. My main goal was to capture their story through interviews the week before while they were camping and juxtapose their story in a captivating and interesting way before the wedding, juxtaposed with footage of them, their friends and their families during the wedding.

McLaren | Under 7 Minutes
Commercial Recreation
Being someone who's personally interested in cars and motorsport, I undertook a personal exercise in racing and cinematography. I figured out a way to alter the game files of Assetto Corsa to unlock the in-game camera during a replay. I decided to recreate the McLaren Under 7 Minutes advertisement in which they sent their hypercar, the P1, around the Nurburgring in Germany. Assetto Corsa is a sim-racing game and has meticulously detailed laser-scanned models of both the car and the track. So I set a lap and then set up the cameras in-game using a screen recorder to capture the footage.

After posting Under 7 Minutes to YouTube it gained the attention of many people. One of them was an admin for the Assetto Corsa Racing League. He enjoyed the video and wanted me to create one for them using replay data files that were sent over from some of their most intense races. It was a blast to create this one and I even scored the music myself.

Robins On My Front Porch

One morning I found a mother Robin had made a nest in a wreath on my front porch. This was a once in a lifetime experience for me, but was also incredibly challenging. The first obstacle was the morality of the project. I wanted to capture footage of the mom, dad and her children. But I didn't want to disturb them in any way shape or form. I had to carefully set up cameras when the mother wasn't there and leave them running outside for sometimes hours. The video did very well on Reddit, YouTube and even caught the attention of The Guardian.

John & Reiko
Wedding
John is a good friend of mine and was looking for someone to shoot his wedding. Unfortunately, I was notified too late and the spots were taken. That wouldn't stop me though! I offered John my services as a certified drone operator, free of charge and he was happy to have me. I really wanted to capture the beautiful location as a background to John and Reiko's special day, despite the weather.
